Once upon a time, there was a young man named Ravi who had a habit of speaking without thinking. He would often say things that were hurtful to others and would regret it later. One day, his grandfather noticed this behavior and decided to teach him a valuable lesson.

He took Ravi to a nearby river and asked him to fill a glass with water from the river. Ravi did as he was told, and his grandfather asked him to pour the water back into the river. He then asked Ravi to do the same thing but this time, to be careful not to spill a single drop of water.

Ravi tried his best, but as he was pouring the water back into the river, he noticed that a few drops had spilled. His grandfather then explained to him that just like the water that cannot be retrieved once it is spilled, the words that come out of our mouth cannot be taken back.

He told Ravi about the importance of guarding his tongue and being mindful of the words he speaks. He explained that careless words can hurt others and cause misery, just like the spilled water cannot be retrieved.

From that day on, Ravi made a conscious effort to guard his tongue and think before he spoke. He realized the power of words and how they can impact others. He became known for his kind and thoughtful words, and people respected him for it.

The moral of the story is that we should always guard our tongue and be mindful of the words we speak. Just like the water that cannot be retrieved once it is spilled, the words that come out of our mouth cannot be taken back. So, let us be careful with our words and use them to spread kindness and positivity.
